Capitol Adventures

Day Three: Today was a beautiful day, and we set out to see Arlington National Cemetery, and after a lunch at Pentagon City Mall, we explored the Museum of Natural History and then wandered further into the city for a dinner at the ESPN Zone, an interesting restaurant where I believe everyone has a 45 minute wait. Why do I say that? Well, there is an interactive arcade in the lower part of the building where you can spend even more money. It's the restaurant's way of staying in business. At least the wait wasn't terrible, unlike the overpriced food (LOL).

Day Four: For our last day, we took in The White House and then set out to the Museums of American History. We decided to call is a short day, and we made the comical mistake of deciding to go home during rush hour. We ended up on the Metro, noses in someone else's armpits, kids squished between peoples' bellies... thankfully, we only had to ride a few short stops before we transferred to a less crowded train.

All in all DC was quite a success. The kids loved seeing the sites, exploring some history, and being in the "big city." With so many places like that, it would take several weeks to actually take in all the sites, but scattered throughout this post are a few highlights:
